Not as a standard part of our static caravan insurance cover. However, there may be options to add on this element of protection with some of our policies.
Because static homes provide temporary accommodation (ie. for holidays and weekends), most are likely to have a small freezer only. So if there was some sort of electrical failure, for example, that meant the freezer contents had to be destroyed, it is unlikely that their value will be more than the policy excess. (The excess is the first part of a successful claim that you agree to be liable for).
That is why freezer foods do not form part of our standard static caravan insurance cover.
For park homes, both freezers and their contents are covered as standard. This is because park homes are permanent residences which tend to have a larger freezer and therefore more volume of food.
For clarification on any of these points, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We will be very happy to help.
