FAQ – What public liability caravan insurance do you provide?

Public liability insurance provides protection in the event that someone suffers loss, damage, injury etc as a result, directly or indirectly, of your caravan. Our policies currently (as at March 2014) provide up to £2,000,000 for any amounts you legally have to pay for causing accidental bodily injury, death, or accidental damage to property arising out of you owning or using your caravan.

Note that exclusions apply – for example, if you are towing your caravan, then typically, the public liability aspect should be covered by the towing vehicle’s insurance. Please ensure you check your car insurance and licence documents for clarification.

When your tourer is not being towed, then our policies will insure any amounts which you legally have to pay for causing accidental bodily injury, death or disease, accidental loss or damage to property arising out of you owning, possessing or using the caravan or the contents which happens within the geographical limits.

For static homes, again, cover is provided for public liability, as long as your caravan is being used for social, domestic or pleasure purposes only.

Please check your policy schedule for full details of the cover you have as well as any exclusions.

Or, please feel free to contact us either on our freephone telephone number or via email. We will be more than happy to help.
