We recently carried out a survey* on a selection of our customers, asking them to name their favourite childhood holiday destination, that special place where they spent many happy days on holiday.
The top 6 places were:
These places beat the other warmer and more so-called glamorous destinations such as Florida and Brittany hands down, proving that a good old British seaside holiday evokes the best of childhood memories.
Snapping up 3% each of the votes and in joint 7th place were:
- Norfolk
- Skegness
- Bournemouth
- Isle of Wight
One customer said that the ‘seaside followed by the sweet shop’ was their favourite holiday destination, which we feel really sums up everything that is great about a UK holiday!
