Skelwith Fold Caravan Park in Ambleside, Cumbria has been nominated for Holiday Park of the Year at the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence, according to reports.
The awards take place in London on April 18th and the caravan park is sure to face tough opposition from other sites across England.
Ian Stephens, chief executive of Cumbria Tourism, told the North-West Evening Mail: “Cumbria’s tourism industry has yet again demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence.”
“The fact that Cumbria has three entrants battling for honours goes to show how businesses are continually raising the standards to compete not just locally or regionally but nationally and internationally.”
Ambleside is a pretty town located settled in picturesque countryside and perfect for walking holidays.
It’s positioned next to Lake Windermere and is also close to the villages Rydal, Grasmere, Elterwater, Langdale and Skelwith.
