Two holiday and caravan parks in Brixham, Hastings, have been bought out by one of the largest leisure groups in the south of England, according to reports.
Park Holidays UK has purchased Landscove and Riviera holiday parks for a multi-million pound sum, reports the Hastings & St Leonard Observer.
Tony Clish, Park Holidays spokesman, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to add these very fine and popular holiday parks to our group. These acquisitions make us the largest park operator in this important holiday area and confirm again our position as the largest park operator in southern England.”
“We will continue to invest in all our parks to maintain our market-leading position and we have already committed record levels of investment this winter in preparation for the 2007 holiday season.”
Both sites are located at Berry Head on the Torbay coast and last year attracted over 10,000 UK holidaymakers.
The purchases take Park Holidays UK’s portfolio up to 23 caravan and leisure parks across the country.
It follows Park Holidays’ acquisition of the Dawlish Sands Holidays Park and the Paignton Waterside Holiday Park which happened in 2006.
