Olympic athlete announces caravan show appearance

Although caravan fan Dame Kelly Holmes can well afford a financial setback, other caravanners would be well advised to take out full caravan insurance.

Despite all the double Olympic gold medallist’s cash from competitions, Dame Kelly has announced that she will put in an appearance at this year’s International Caravan and Motorhome show at the NEC in Birmingham.

It has emerged, however, that Dame Kelly may not be doing it for the money, as sources have revealed that she is a fully paid-up member of the Caravan Club and is reported as enjoying caravanning holidays.

Other celebrities have already announced that they will appear at Birmingham’s NEC between October 16th and 21st.

Dame Kelly said: “I’ve recently joined The Caravan Club and I can’t wait to hitch up and head off for a break.

“For me, caravanning is the ideal holiday as I can come and go at a moment’s notice and don’t have to worry about making bookings months in advance.

“I’m really looking forward to being at the International Caravan & Motorhome 2007 show.”
